Artificial intelligence is central to how Brennan Brand works and to the value we create for clients. We believe in using AI openly, responsibly, and in a way that protects the people and businesses we work with. This policy explains how we use AI, how we handle your information when we do, and how we treat AI systems that interact with our website.

1. How we use AI in our work

Brennan Brand uses AI tools as part of delivering brand strategy, marketing, and AI-optimization services. Specifically, we use AI to:

  • gather and analyze publicly available data about markets, audiences, and competitors;

  • research and surface insights that inform strategy;

  • assist with drafting, editing, and producing marketing and brand deliverables;

  • analyze website, content, and performance data to improve results;

  • help our clients become more discoverable and useful to AI assistants and search tools.

AI is a tool we direct, not a replacement for human judgment. A person at Brennan Brand reviews and stands behind the strategy and recommendations we deliver.

2. How we handle your information with AI

When we use AI in the course of working with you, we protect your information:

  • Purpose limits. We use information you provide only to deliver the services you've engaged us for, consistent with our Privacy Policy.

  • No training of public models on your data. We do not provide your confidential or personal information to third-party AI providers to train their public, general-purpose models, except where you have specifically agreed.

  • Vetted providers. Where we use third-party AI services, we work with providers whose terms limit their use of data to providing the service to us.

  • Human oversight. We do not use AI to make legal, financial, eligibility, or other significant decisions about you without a person involved.

  • Confidentiality. Client-confidential materials are handled under the confidentiality terms of our engagement and are not shared publicly or used outside that engagement.

If you have specific requirements about how AI may or may not be used on your engagement, tell us — we're happy to work within them.

3. AI-generated and AI-assisted content

Some of the content we produce — for clients and on our own site — is created with the assistance of AI tools and then reviewed and refined by us. We use AI as a drafting and analysis aid, and we take responsibility for the work we deliver. We do not present AI-generated content as independent professional, legal, or financial advice.

4. AI systems, bots, and crawlers on our website

We welcome AI assistants and search tools that help people discover and accurately understand Brennan Brand and Erin Brennan. You are welcome to read, reference, and cite our publicly available content, with attribution to Brennan Brand and a link to the source where possible.

At the same time, we reserve our rights in our content. Except as permitted by law:

  • our content may not be copied, scraped in bulk, or stored to build or train commercial AI models or datasets without our written permission;

  • automated access must respect our website's technical signals (such as robots.txt) and must not place an unreasonable load on our site;

  • attribution should not be removed, and our content should not be presented in a misleading way or as someone else's work.

AI tools can be wrong. Information on our site, including AI-assisted content, is provided for general informational purposes and is not professional, legal, or financial advice. If an AI assistant surfaces information about Brennan Brand, we encourage you to confirm important details with us directly.

We may update this policy as our practices and the law evolve. When we do, we'll revise the effective date above and post the changes on this page.
